Matrix Mastermind Tutorial

Welcome to Matrix Mastermind, a code-breaking game where you must decipher a secret sequence of numbers to save the Matrix!

Game Objective:

Your mission is to crack a secret 4-digit code within 10 attempts. Each digit is a number from 1 to 6.

How to Play:

1. Click "Start" to begin a new game.
2. Use the number buttons (1-6) or keyboard to input your guess in each slot. Click a slot to select it.
3. Click "Check" or press Enter to submit your guess and receive feedback.
4. Use the feedback to refine your next guess.

Feedback System:

• Green peg: Correct number in the correct position.
• Yellow peg: Correct number but in the wrong position.
• The arrangement of the feedback pegs does not correspond to the positions in your guess.

Repetition Setting:

Before starting the game, you can toggle the "Repetition" setting:

• Repetition Off: The secret code will contain 4 different numbers (e.g., 1234).
• Repetition On: The secret code may contain repeated numbers (e.g., 1134, 1122, 1114, 1111).

Controls:

• Click on a slot to select it.
• Use keyboard numbers 1-6 to input values.
• Use ← → arrow keys to navigate between slots in the current row.
• Press Enter to check your guess.
• Press Esc to cancel ending the game in the confirmation pop-up.
